About the author
Throughout her 35-year career, Cristina Schleder has been presenting and representing nature. The techniques used in this course ended up enabling the materialization of his unconscious. His reflection is in the whole of his work. The symbiosis was taking place reflecting his personal trajectory. Trajectory began in painting. Through acrylic paint on canvas, she geometrically constructed the representation of how she felt nature. Each of the forms, with their color and meaning, told a story bearing the accusations and anguish of the artist. Resins based on earth and sand, developed by her, began to be introduced in her painting. Then she brought the application of organic materials. In parallel, in this period, she was art director of the Brazilian magazine Interview for 8 years. Draws furniture, decorations, clothes and jewelry. He did scenery and costumes. The three-dimensionality in her work happened when Cristina separated in multiple screens the various areas that constituted her painting. From then on, the pieces made possible endless groupings, compounded also, by the increase of the varied volumes of these canvases. In the year 2000 he immersed himself in the collage of paper on paper. Technique in which you are involved, too, until today. That same year he wrote the book The Phoenix, published the following year. Five years ago photography entered as another form of expression, culminating in the edition of The Flying Carpets of the Atlantic Forest. In this work she repeatedly uses what she calls a photo / matrix and couples them together, thus reconstructing a new image. We can say that here, there is also the collage work. His works are part of several private collections, in Brazil and abroad.
